The USMCA, a cornerstone of trilateral trade relations, remains in effect until 2036. According to its review clause (Article 34.7), the first evaluation will take place on July 1, 2026, where a decision will be made on whether to renew the agreement for another 16 years. If not renewed, the treaty will terminate in 2036, triggering annual discussions for a maximum of 10 years.
