Elections in the USA: Swing states and their connections with industry

The U.S. swing states are defined as states that could “swing” either way between the Republican or Democratic parties between election cycles. For the upcoming elections in November 2024, key swing states include those that switched between parties in the last two elections, in 2016 and 2020, such as Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. States with close 2020 results or possible flippers, like Florida, Ohio, and Virginia, are also considered potential swing states.
