USMCA Review: What will happen between now and the end of the year?
July 1, 2026, will mark the sixth anniversary of the entry into force of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which also marks the date of its first review. Although this process formally begins in 2026, the remaining months of 2025 will be crucial for laying the groundwork for negotiations, and we will be seeing consultations and internal processes by the three countries.
Mexico and the private sector play a very important role in preparing for the review, so they can take strategic actions to ensure that their interests are met and that a successful negotiation takes place that allows the treaty to remain in effect.
